What we collect
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and the profile information you provide (work history, skills, and values preferences). Employers additionally provide company details and role descriptions. We also collect standard usage data such as page views and feature interactions to improve the product.
How we use your data
We use your information to match candidates with employers, send relevant notifications, and operate the platform. We do not sell your personal data to third parties. Aggregate, anonymized data may be used to improve our matching algorithms and publish industry insights.
Who can see your profile
Your candidate profile is only shared with employers you are matched with, and only after both sides express mutual interest. Employers cannot browse or search a general candidate pool. Your profile is never publicly indexed or visible to unauthenticated users.
Data retention
You can delete your account at any time from your account settings. When you do, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (for example, billing records). Anonymized behavioral signals may be retained to improve matching quality.
Cookies and tracking
We use cookies for authentication and session management. We use privacy-respecting analytics (no third-party ad trackers). You can disable cookies in your browser, though some features may not work correctly without them.
Third-party services
Tailored uses Clerk for authentication, Stripe for payments, and Resend for transactional email. Each of these providers has their own privacy policy and handles data in accordance with applicable law. We do not share your data with any other third parties.
Security
All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to production data is restricted to authorized personnel. We use industry-standard practices for secret management and vulnerability disclosure.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@tailoredroles.com. We will respond within 30 days.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or via an in-product notice at least 14 days before the changes take effect.
